Idaho Mountain Biking Opportunities: Discovery Hill Trail
Discovery Hill has some exceptional singletrack riding opportunities only 2 miles north of downtown Salmon, Idaho and provides riders with smooth riding opportunities through rolling sage hills set against the equally stunning backdrops of the Continental Divide and Salmon River valley. The trails are generally smooth and fast and not too technically challenging, which results in great opportunities for riders of all skill and ability levels. Although this trail system is a popular destination for year round riding, it is often snow-covered in the winter, and users are asked not to ride during the wet and muddy conditions of spring thaw to protect the trails.
One of the Bureau of Land Management's "Backyard to Backcountry" treasures, information on the Discovery Hill Enduro Loop was developed between IMBA and the Salmon, ID, BLM field office to provide world-class riding experiences. IMBA's data on the trail includes elevations, ratings, current conditions, photos, and comments.
