BLM Recreation Strategy - Connecting with Communities – The Connecting with Communities strategy provides overall strategic guidance for the Recreation and Visitor Services Program. Originally developed in 2015, the 2020 update lays the groundwork for the recreation program into the future. The Headquarters and Field-level Recreation Managers use this document to define the strategic vision for the program, in working with communities and partners, and strengthening our capacity to do so. The updated Strategy includes new photos and statistical information and recognizes opportunities for conservation and stewardship alongside other authorized uses of public lands.
