Revoking D-1 Withdrawals
Starting in 2018, the BLM revoked the first set of d-1 withdrawals, per the recommendation of the Bay Resource Management Plan.
Lands withdrawn under Sec. 17(d)(1) of ANCSA, for classification or reclassification by the Secretary of the Interior, do not preclude selection and conveyance of those lands in fulfilling Alaska Native village entitlements under Secs. 12(a) and 12(b) of ANCSA.

Kobuk-Seward Pen - PLO 7899 (January 19, 2021)
- The Department extended the opening order for PLO No. 7899 by 60 days on February 18, 2021, to provide an opportunity to review the decisions and ensure the orderly management of the public lands (86 FR 10131). Subsequently, the Department identified certain procedural and legal defects in the decision-making process , including insufficient analysis under NEPA. The Department paused this PLO for two years to allow for further analysis.
