The Henry Mountains is a well-known point of reference in southeast Utah, reaching almost 12,000 feet at the top of Mt. Ellen. Whether you enjoy big game hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, or just like to drive through the mountains, you'll find your niche in the beauty of Central Utah.

Other activities include the Paiute and Great Western ATV trails with over 1000 miles of routes in central Utah, Otter Creek Reservoir, and Paiute Reservoir for fantastic fishing and boating opportunities, in addition to the Old Spanish Trail National Historic Trail.

The Henry Mountain Range is one of the few places in the country where a buffalo herd roams free. Hog Springs, surrounded by the slick, red walls of southern Utah's desert is a beautiful picnic area along the Bicentennial Scenic Byway, making the perfect stop to hike and see rock art.

The Hanksville-Burpee Dinosaur Quarry is a dinosaur bone bed located on federal land, in south-central Utah and is the largest dinosaur quarry in this area. The quarry is massive in extent with a bone-bearing layer extending for a minimum of .5 miles to the northeast. As of summer 2017, the deposit preserves the remains of at least 15 different dinosaurs.
