Natural systems and cycles connect Alaska to the world. BLM Campbell Creek Science Center strives to engage all learners in outdoor experiences that increase appreciation, connection, and stewardship of Alaska's public lands and natural resources.
To inspire our visitors Inside and Outside, CCSC creates temporary exhibits about the incredible natural resources of Alaska. Explore the rippling water-filled landscape of the state. Wonder about birds that travel thousands of miles to reach this place. Create your own art. And, get outside to discover the wonders of your own backyard.

Alaska Map Exhibit
Alaska’s vast landscape encompasses a wide variety of unique ecosystems. In this full wall satellite image, these ecosystems come together in a mosaic of colors. Visit and take a closer look at these patches and you’ll notice great mountain ranges, endless waterways, and large stands of old-growth forest.
Campbell Creek Mural
When you walk into the BLM Campbell Creek Science Center, you are greeted by a beautiful mural depicting life in and around Campbell Creek.
Rotating Exhibits
A Year in the Boreal Forest
A Year in the Boreal Forest takes you on a seasonal journey through this region’s harsh conditions. Debuting in the fall of 2020, this exhibit explains how plants and animals living in the boreal forest are adapted for survival.

The AK Flyway
In 2019, the AK Flyway temporary exhibit adorned the walls of the hallway connecting the foyer to the Classroom at the science center and explained the reasons for large bird migrations to Alaska and highlighted the journey of six migrants who fly from six different continents to the state each summer, while offering some fun interactions for visitors.
