BLM CO RGFO Sand Gulch Campground Map

Rock climbing routes are abundant surrounding the Sand Gulch Campground located approximately 13 miles north of Cañon City on the Gold Belt National Scenic Byway. This popular camping option is most heavily used by sport climbers visiting the Shelf Road Recreation Area. The BLM campground contains individual or group fee sites with picnic tables, fire rings, and tent platforms. The group campsite accommodates up to 20 people. Facilities include vault toilets, parking, and an information kiosk. No water or trash service is available. Reservations are available online at Recreation.gov with additional first-come, first-served sites. BLM-managed lands in this area are closed to target shooting.
