DOMINGUEZ CANYON WILDERNESS STUDY AREA

The Dominguez Canyon WSA is adjacent to the Dominguez Canyon Wilderness. The WSA is primarily on Steamboat Mesa, but includes numerous small scattered parcels. When the majority of the original WSA was designated as wilderness, these parcels were left in WSA status. Vegetation consists mainly of pinyon-juniper. Primitive forms of recreation may be engaged in on the WSA.
Visitation Information
The Dominguez Canyon WSA is located in Mesa and Montrose counties, approximately 29 miles southeast of Grand Junction; 15 miles west of Delta, and located in the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area.
