Adoption and Sale Event Schedule
The BLM offers wild horses and burros for adoption or purchase at events across the country throughout the year. The most current adoption and sale event schedule is provided below. All times are in local time and subject to change without notice. Please contact the National Information Center or the relevant BLM office for more information about a specific event.
- Adopt Online on the Online Corral
- The Online Corral hosts periodic events to offer wild horses and burros for adoption online via competitive bid. Adopters may elect to pick-up their animal from an identified pick-up locations.

The BLM has a network of wild horse and burro off-range corrals that offer wild horses and burros for adoption. Many facilities have regular business hours during which an appointment can be made. Visit our Facilities Page for more information about each of our facilities.
Some facilities host weekly, monthly or quarterly events that allow for walk-up adoptions - no appointment needed. See schedule of regularly occurring facility events below.

Event details:- Come visit the Pauls Valley Off-Range Corral during monthly events and choose from approximately 80 animals to adopt!
- Note: unfortunately burros will not be available during the March event.

Adopt or purchase a wild horse or burro from an off-range corral location.

Tank the mustang was adopted, trained and shown by Cory Bourque in the 2016 Louisiana Extreme Mustang Makeover where they placed fourth overall. Tank is a 6-year-old gathered from the East Douglas, Colorado herd management area.
