Little City of Rocks WSA
Values
The Little City of Rocks WSA is located within the Mount Bennett Hills, a belt of rolling foothills between the Sawtooth Mountains to the north and the Snake River Plains to the south. The WSA is a sloping plain cut through the center by a drainage. Within the drainage are rock outcrops of rhyolite which give the area its name. The unusual rock formations appear like rows of small buildings: fins and pillars called "hoodoos." Elk, deer, coyote, birds of prey and upland game are found here. The WSA offers a diversity of primitive recreation opportunities, namely day hiking, photography, camping and exploring focused on the rock formations.
