CASPER, Wyo. – The Bureau of Land Management Casper Field Office is seeking public comment on a supplemental environmental analysis prepared for EOG Resources’ proposed Sand Creek oil and gas project.
The BLM CFO prepared this environmental assessment in response to the BLM Wyoming State Office’s remand of the original Sand Creek Project EA, issued Jan. 15, 2019. The remand directed the CFO to supplement the EA by providing additional analysis related to greenhouse gas emissions and climate change. This supplemental EA documents that additional analysis.
The 20-day comment period will end on Dec. 31, 2019. Comments will be accepted in writing or through the BLM’s ePlanning website linked below. Comments sent by mail must be postmarked by the close of the comment period in order to be considered.
The draft EA is available for review at https://go.usa.gov/xpdVa. Hard copy comments can be mailed or hand-delivered to the Bureau of Land Management Casper Field Office, Attn: Tyson Finnicum, 2987 Prospector Drive, Casper, WY 82604; or online at the link above.
All comments, including personal identifying information, may be made publicly available at any time. The BLM will not consider anonymous comments.
For more information, contact Tyson Finnicum, Interdisciplinary Team Lead, at 307-261-7521.
