LAKEVIEW, Ore. — The Bureau of Land Management’s Lakeview District has hired three new employees, Mary Goodin, Erick Wahlman, and Steven Van-Si. “We are pleased to have such highly qualified and dedicated staff join our team,” said Jami Ludwig, Lakeview Field Manager.
Mary Goodin started as the Contact Representative for the Lakeview Interagency Office in June. Mary grew up in Idaho and attended Boise State University. Mary has 35 years of combined experience serving the public as a business manager/employee of family businesses and a Physical Therapy Technician in Idaho. She appreciates assisting, meeting and talking to a variety of people. Two of Mary’s greatest joys are being a wife and mother. She is involved in the community with church, school and FFA. She looks forward to continuing her service to the BLM and local community.
Ever since Erick Wahlman was a child, he’s cared about the ecosystems. After volunteering with a rehab facility during his college summers, Erick began working at an animal shelter in 2016. Since then, Erick has traveled a long and dusty road as it led through Nevada, Northern California, Oregon and Southern Washington eventually bring him to the BLM Lakeview Field Office. As the Natural Resource Specialist for Weeds, Erick is excited to be working in his real passion, weed management.
Steven Van-Si joined the Lakeview Field Office as the Outdoor Recreation Planner in September. Steven has 14 years of experience working in public land management for both the Forest Service and the BLM. In Steven’s free time, he enjoys snowmobiling, snowboarding, split boarding, hiking, mountain biking, surfing, camping, traveling overseas and really any outdoor activity.
