BLM issues firewood permits in Muddy Mountain area

CASPER, Wyo. –The Bureau of Land Management Casper Field Office is pleased to offer firewood and post and pole permits for the Muddy Mountain area from July 1 – September 30. These tangible products from public lands help the public heat their homes and build the fences and barns that keep their lands productive.
Permits are limited to three cords per person and are on a first come first serve basis at $15 per cord and $1.50 per post or pole. There is an additional $1.50 road maintenance fee per permit. Individuals must visit the Casper Field Office in person, located at 2987 Prospector Drive, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to purchase a permit.
Permitted individuals must collect their firewood and post and pole products from BLM designated areas and trees. For more information, contact the Casper Field Office at 307-261-7600.
