Eastern States Public Room
Visitors may walk into the Public Room of the BLM Eastern States in Falls Church, Virginia, and discover information about recreation on public lands found just a short drive from the nation's capital. We provide brochures about the Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area in Lorton, Virginia; and the Douglas Point Special Recreation Management Area located across the Potomac River in Nanjemoy, Maryland.
BLM Eastern States houses the largest collection of Land Title Records in the world including more than 9 million historic records dating back to 1787. Many people visit our Public Room to consult this official collection of records as they research genealogy, questions of ownership, or other land title issues.
