BLM Law Enforcement Professionals Run in National Police Week 5K

Bureau of Land Management law enforcement professionals from Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, and Montana, along with family and friends, joined thousands of their fellow officers and supporters from across the nation in the annual National Police Week 5k walk/run on May 11, 2019, in Washington, D.C.

UPDATE: Man Sentenced For Mammoth Tusk Theft In Alaska

On April 11, 2019, Martin Thornley Elze, 52, of Anchorage, was sentenced to serve 33 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release for the 2018 theft of a 100-pound mammoth tusk from Alaska’s Campbell Creek Science Center. Elze was also ordered to pay $8,385.82 in restitution to the science center.
