Segregation of Public Land for the Esmerelda Solar Projects in Esmerelda County, Nevada
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is segregating 117,384.38 acres of public lands in Esmerelda County, Nevada for the Esmerelda solar projects seven right-of-way applications for a period of 2 years effective on November 20, 2024.
The seven rights-of-way applications are for the Leeward Esmeralda, Connect Gen Smoky Valley, Arevia Gold Dust, Invenergy Nivloc, NextEra Esmeralda, Red Ridge 1, and Red Ridge 2 solar energy projects.
The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land located primarily in 12 western states, including Alaska, on behalf of the American people. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation.
