BLM vacates land conveyance to Aleut Corporation under Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act
BLM will issue an appealable decision replacing its August 3, 2023, decision to transfer land to the Aleut Corporation. The original decision is vacated in entirety due to an error in land status.
The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land located primarily in 12 western states, including Alaska, on behalf of the American people. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation.
