BLM proposes extending withdrawal of public land for Chief Joseph Dam project
The United States Department of the Army Corps of Engineers filed an application to extend the land withdrawal for 20 years. Interested parties may submit comments until May 15.
The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land located primarily in 12 western states, including Alaska, on behalf of the American people. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation.
