BLM Idaho’s Salmon Field Office welcomes new manager
SALMON, Idaho—The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Idaho Falls District welcomes Vince Guyer as the new field manager for the Salmon Field Office. His official starting date was Dec. 29, 2024.
“Vince Guyer provides a wealth of local resource knowledge and leadership experience that will serve the Salmon community and public lands well,” said BLM Idaho Falls District Manager Mary D’Aversa. “I am excited to work with Vince in his new capacity.”
Vince had been the Assistant Field Manager for the Salmon Field Office for nearly a decade. He came to Salmon in 1996 as a fisheries technician. He later moved into a BLM Natural Resources Specialist position, focusing on wildlife. Vince assumed his new role in late December after longtime Field Manager Linda Price’s retirement.
When not working, Vince and wife Julie enjoy spending time traveling, especially floating down the rivers of Idaho. The Guyer family also appreciates Salmon-area outdoor pursuits like camping and soaking in local hot springs. “I love living in Salmon and look forward to continued partnerships in managing our public lands,” said BLM Salmon Field Manager Vince Guyer. “The work we do together contributes greatly to our quality of life and community. This next chapter in my service career will continue to deepen my passion for our Nation's public lands.”
Located in the heart of the Rockies near the Idaho/Montana border, the Salmon Field Office, which manages almost 500,000 acres of public lands, provides spectacular scenery and great opportunities for adventure around every turn.
