GIS Server outage for Thursday, April 17, 2025
We are conducting a GIS server migration and this outage will significantly degrade linked web maps and web applications that are found on www.blm.gov and supported by these GIS servers. We should be back online on Friday, April 18.
A pivotal stop along the California, Mormon Pioneer and Pony Express overland routes, this site is discussed in numerous emigrant diaries and was also a stage station for a brief time. The bridge here is not original; crossing here was not as hazardous as crossing a larger river. The trail runs diagonal from the northeast to the southwest of the fenced area. This is a fee-free site. The area is ADA accessible.
Travel on State Highway 28 east of Farson 7 miles. Travel North on County 4-10 5 miles and then East on the Little Sandy Crossing access one mile to the site.
