Little Boulder Recreation Site
Overview
Little Boulder Recreation Site is adjacent to the East Fork Salmon River, near the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, is often used as a staging area to access the Cecil D. Andrus White Clouds Wilderness Area.
This recreation sites include parking area, campsites with picnic tables and fire rings, a vault toilet, hand pump providing potable water, hitching posts and turn-around room for horse trailers. There are no electric hook-ups. This site has limited cell service.
This is also a popular jump-off point to the Lower Boulder and Sheep Creek Trailheads which are about 0.25 miles further down East Fork Road.
- Lower Boulder Trailhead is on the left of East Fork Road and access Chain Lakes within the White Clouds Wilderness Area.
- Sheep Creek Trailhead is on the right of East Fork Road and crosses the river to access the Jim McClure-Jerry Peak Wilderness Area.

35 miles SE of Challis, Idaho. From Challis, travel south on Highway 93 for 2 miles, turn right onto Highway 75 and travel approximately 17 miles to the East Fork Salmon River Road. Turn left onto the East Fork Road, and travel another 20 miles. The Little Boulder Recreation Site will be on the left side of the road.

Campsites are first come, first served. Camping fees: free.
