Fish Lake

Overview

This trail ascends to Fish Lake within the Widow Mountain Wilderness Study Area. The scenic alpine lake contains cutthroat trout and is the headwaters for the Little North Fork of the Clearwater River. Undeveloped camping is allowed. From Forest Service Road 216 the trail is 2 miles one way with the first 0.5 miles available to ATVs and motorcycles with the last 1.5 miles closed to ATVs. The trails elevation ranges from 4920-5460 feet and is rated moderate-difficult.
