ELKO, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management, Elko District, Tuscarora Field Office (BLM) has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed Ruby Vista Ranch Right-of Way in Spring Creek, Nevada. The EA analyzes the impacts of constructing a new road and powerline across BLM-administered land for the new residential Ruby Vista Ranch subdivision in Spring Creek, Nevada.
Ruby Vista Ranch, LLC (RVR) is proposing to construct and maintain a new road and powerline approximately 1,450 feet (approximately 0.27 mile) long within a 60-foot wide right-of-way (ROW) on BLM-administered land for a total disturbance of approximately two acres. The road would provide access from State Route 228 (SR 228, also known as the Jiggs Highway) to a new wastewater treatment plant and the new residential subdivision. An overhead power line with 45-foot tall power poles would be installed along the south side of the road within the 60-foot ROW. The project is located in the Spring Creek area, approximately six miles south of Elko, in Elko County, Nevada, in Township 33 North, Range 56 East, S1/2, NE1/4, SW1/4, Section 4.
This release serves as notice that the EA is available for a 30-day review period beginning August 19, 2021 and ending September 17, 2021. The EA can be accessed online on the BLM NEPA Register project website: https://go.usa.gov/xFZMa.
