Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument announces summer hours for visitor centers

KANAB, Utah — The Bureau of Land Management’s Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument will transition to a summer schedule for the monument’s visitor centers beginning Mar. 1, 2024. Summer hour operations will commence as follows:

  • Escalante Interagency Visitor Center. Summer hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., six days a week (closed Wednesday) beginning Friday, Mar. 1.
  • Kanab Visitor Center. Summer hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., five days a week (closed Sunday and Monday) beginning Friday, Mar. 1.
  • Big Water Visitor Center. Summer hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., five days a week (closed Tuesday and Wednesday) beginning Friday, Mar. 1.
  • Cannonville Visitor Center. Summer hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., five days a week (closed Monday and Tuesday) beginning Friday, Mar. 1. 
  • Paria Contact Station. Summer hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., seven days a week beginning Friday, Mar. 15. 

Paria Canyon Overnight permits may be picked up at the Paria Contact Station or the St. George Public Lands Information Center, 345 E. Riverside Dr., St. George, UT 84790-6714, which is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., five days a week (closed Saturday, Sunday, and federal holidays).
