BLM Caliente Field Office opens community sand and gravel pits

CALIENTE, Nev. – In keeping with the Administration’s goals of providing materials we rely on and use every day, the Bureau of Land Management’s Caliente Field Office is making available for public purchase sand and gravel from the Dodge Well community pit located south of Mt. Wilson Road off U.S. Highway 93, about 24 miles north of Pioche, Nev. The cost is 97 cents per cubic yard.

Sand and gravel is also available for purchase at the new Panaca community pit located adjacent to the existing closed and reclaimed pit off State Route 319, just east of Panaca, Nev. The cost is $1.06 per cubic yard.

Permits are available at the BLM Caliente Field Office, 1400 South Front Street, in Caliente. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information, contact the field office at (775) 726-8100.
