BLM approves Flat Top Gravel Pit EA

CARSON CITY, NEV. The Bureau of Land Management, Carson City District, Stillwater Field Office has finalized the Environmental Assessment (EA) for Hiskett & Sons (HS) LLC Flat Top Gravel Pit Expansion. The project is in Churchill County, Nevada approximately 16 miles southeast of Fallon, Nevada on BLM-administered land. Public comments were accepted on the EA and Plan of Operations from March 9 through April 8, 2020.

This Expansion consists of development of an aggregate operation (gravel pit). The proposed Project Area totals 191 acres, and HS could create up to a maximum of 191 acres of disturbance over the life of the Project.
