Mission
This Information Bulletin announces the availability of the Master Title Plat (MTP) Data Standard Version 1.
The Master Title Plat theme is established to host current federal land status information for Oregon and Washington. The Master Title Plat is the official Land Status record that portrays the current federal land status; the Historical Index (HI) contains the historical land status. Land status is based on the concepts of an original public domain of all potential surface and subsurface rights subject to appropriation over time. Appropriation encompasses actions that pass rights to and from the United States, modify their spatial extents, assign managing federal agencies, impose and revoke restrictions on the rights, and grant and terminate authorized use of US rights. The feature classes within this dataset organize the effects of the appropriations as attributes that, when displayed spatially, produce the MTP as well as provide the ability to query views of the current federal land status.
