Celebrate National Public Lands Day this Saturday Aug. 24 with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Farmington Field Office. Join the BLM and community partners on Saturday August 24, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a cleanup at Chokecherry Canyon. The event will take place 2.7 miles north of Pinon Hills Blvd. on Glade Road. Lunch, bags and refreshments will be provided.
The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land located primarily in 12 western states, including Alaska, on behalf of the American people. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation. Our mission is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.
